What is the issue with D2 LoD

Regarding the players not wanting any change...

The issue isn't in making it easier to play with the help of changes. The problem is that when you use gear, there's nothing to deal with it. This is also true to Vanilla LoD and it's still the case for D2R 2.4.

So , what's the solution?

The answer is a complex answer. I'll do my best to present my view on the issue.

Diablo II LoD is a historical ARPG. It set the standard for quality the design of games.

In the end D2: LoD may not be flawless. It's expected. It's not a perfect world. Human beings is to look back at our mistakes and then come back stronger and more successful.

So , what's the issue with LoD: D2?

1.) The final game itemization may not be as accurate as you believe it to be. It's a good thing I'm not saying it's bad but it's not as effective than it should be. Mods such as Path of Diablo/Project Diablo 2 actually saw the issue and made a positive changes with "Worldstone Shards" and "Orbs of Corruption".

The problem with the LoD item system employs a very old-fashioned mentality. The items you desire are extremely rare, but once you've got them, the slot is gone in the majority of cases. The is an problem. It is important to think about what you're doing in the game and the item you are trying to locate. For instance, you are lucky enough to find the "Harlequin Crest" "... Helmet slot" is gone during the season of ladders. What should you do now? The helmet slot is an item that is boring because there's no advancement. The corruption system that was introduced in Path of Exile which was transposed into Path of Diablo/Project Diablo 2 is one answer. There could be more solutions but this is the answer we've seen work.

It is not just enhances the duration of the hunt for items and makes more objects viable. For instance, you find rare helmets with +45 Life and 33 Fire Res +2 cold skills... Then it's great but you'd need an shake. However, let's say that the user decides to "slam" it, and it opens 3 sockets or an 8.8% loss reduction roll. It is now apparent that the rare helmet is competing with shako. You can utilize it until you have an shake. But once you've got the shako you can additionally "slam" on the shako. It's an extremely enjoyable system.

2.) After you have the equipment, there's no reason to put it for. Uber tristram or Uber Diablo aren't enough. Similar to the previous example there are a variety of solutions to this dilemma. One option that is effective can be "Mapping". Large levels with potentially dangerous modifiers, but with high monster density, and mlvl 85+ areas. Large maps resolve a number of problems which D2: LoD has. The world of D2:LoD is tiny (Due to immunity) and only gets larger based on your build (Builds which can eliminate all creatures). However when you're equipped up, only level 85plus areas are profitable to farm for those rare unique TC87. Maps, when designed correctly provide players with the content they need which means they don't have to "Save and Exit" more than 6,000,000 times per day to harvest items. Simply make maps and farm a greater area. Who would want to make an entire game, then kill one unique (Eldtritch) and then save and leave 6,000,000+ times per day? Maps allows game creators can design the world within the world since they aren't able to create a world that is 85plus.

What I'm trying to say to make the game more difficult or more accessible isn't the main problem. The problem is that D2:LoD's a classic ARPG that isn't completely 100% perfect. The item system may benefit from an "corruption" system that is similar to Project Diablo and Path of Diablo. However, that's not the only issue. When we acquire high-quality equipment, there's nothing involved. Endgame "maps" could create larger areas to farm , without "save as well as exit" blasting. Maps will allow developers to build a virtual world that is not changing the nature of questing in hell mode.

Last but not least, I would like to make this suggestion again. I believe that D2R should include the option to select the patch you would like to play offline. This is especially for players who really don't need any modifications only the improved graphics. Therefore, if they wish to go back in time to version 1.14d for instance you can select options and then revert their game.
