For those who don't know, RuneFest is the annual celebration of RuneScape. These include the legendary Old School RuneScape and his brother RuneScape.

RuneScape will enter the pre-emptive experience in the near future and many changes have taken place. I am not saying that they have interfered with the excellent performance of RuneScape gold, but strive to make your mobile experience even better.

The most significant change to RuneScape is the newly designed user interface. The backpack scroll bar is gone, and the icon now wraps around the boundaries of any device you are playing. The layout of the combat buttons has been improved so you have less debris during the battle.

I can tell you how each button is moved or how some menus are adjusted, but please believe it. They have adjusted the user interface for our mobile gamers and can take the lead without having to wait too long.

Jason, Milena, a Jagex employee who is in charge of getting Runescape onto mobile. Below is a small transcript of the conversation about RuneScape making its way onto the mobile devices.

About what aspect of RuneScape needed the most tweaking from the Closed Beta to Early Access, Jason Milena said that would be the user interfaces. Bringing a game that was successful on PC is not as easy as you might think. Players interact with the two devices in entirely different ways, so it only makes sense for the user interfaces to accommodate a different type of interaction. The biggest problem they have faced is how do they make interactable items obvious to the players? The PC has a mouse which allows for different cursor types for these interactable items. Conveying this to users on mobile is an entirely different challenge.

He said he doesn't worried that the mobile version of RuneScape could lose its magic and that’s because they have been there and done that with Old School Runescape. He joined the team when Old School RuneScape was in Beta, so he is new to Jagex. But when you play any one of the many MMORPGs, each one has their own feeling. RuneScape has a feeling like no other MMORPG out there, so it was vital they get that feeling across to mobile.
