Barrows Gloves are popular in OSRS because it’s the best-in-slot equipment that can be worn in the gloves slot of the player’s character. It costs about 130,000 OSRS GP, but the journey to obtain is kind of rough.

You need to complete the quest ‘Recipe for Disaster,’ which doesn’t sound like a troublesome task at first, but the quest is actually divided into 10 sub-quests with different requirements on skills, quests, and Q.P (quest points). For instance, you need a total of 175 Q.P, which means that you need to complete the majority of the quests in the game.

Are the gloves worth it?

Barrows Gloves are an excellent objective to consider working towards for any new player with the main account. With respect to PVP accounts, it’s a huge grind. It’s worth noting that the gloves have to defensive stat requirement to equip, but due to the XP gained during the quests, the requirement has become level 40 in Defense. It means that pure accounts won’t be able to equip it.

However, for the main account, it’s an essential requirement throughout the game. They offer a balanced set effect for melee, range, and magic. There are better offensive gloves like the Ferocious Gloves, but they don’t offer any defensive bonuses.

What are the requirements?

The requirements are hefty, but they are excellent to work towards for the main account. Questing in OSRS may seem tedious; however, without it, you cannot have advantages like the Fairy Ring access. Even most of the areas in the game are locked without completing certain quests. You won’t be working towards anything that is one-off as you’ll unlock plenty on new in-game content.

During the process, you will also achieve semi-high levels in quests, and that’s because several quests offer XP at a much higher rate than what you get through low-level methods.
